How to get to the IFR

By Road

IFR is best accessed by road from the A47/B1108 (Watton Road) junction – follow the sign to ‘Norwich Research Park’

At the traffic lights turn off the Watton Road towards the hospital. IFR is the first turning on the left.

IFR has ample free parking on site.

By Air

Scheduled flights from Norwich International Airport connect to Amsterdam Schiphol , Edinburgh, Manchester and Aberdeen.  There are over 1000 worldwide destinations available via Amsterdam.

From the Airport, there is no direct bus route. A taxi rank is located outside the main terminal. The journey by taxi takes about 20 minutes.

By Public Transport

By Train

Norwich is less than two hours by train from London Liverpool Street station, with trains approximately every half hour. Norwich also links by rail to the Midlands, North of England and Scotland via Peterborough, and The Netherlands via Harwich International Port.

A taxi rank is located outside the station. The journey by taxi takes about 20 minutes.

Bus number 26 (The Blue Line) runs from Norwich Railway Station to the Norwich Research Park.

By Bus

Norwich is connected to the National Express coach network to almost all major UK cities, via the Surrey Street Bus Station in Norwich City Centre. Megabus also run a service to Norwich direct from London Victoria.

In addition National Express service 490 runs from London Victoria Coach Station to UEA, and National Express Service 727 runs from Brighton to UEA, via Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted Airports, and Cambridge.

From Norwich City Centre

Bus number 26 runs from Norwich City Centre to the Norwich Research Park, via UEA

Bus number 25  (The Blue Line) also  runs from Norwich City Centre to Chancellors Drive, University of East Anglia. The IFR is 10 minutes on foot from there.

Bus numbers 11/11A (The Pink Line) run from Norwich City Centre (St Stephens Street Stop BR) to the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. The IFR is 15 minutes on foot from there.

Hotels and guest houses in the Norwich area

This list is a selection of hotels and guest houses that IFR has used in the past.  Inclusion is not a warranty of quality.  Some are in the city of Norwich, some on the outskirts. Most are within easy travelling distance of IFR, a few are on the bus route or within 30 mins walk, but for most you will need to use a taxi or your own car.
